The history of S.S. SURGIMED dates back over four decades when our founder, Sheikh Qamar Din, a master craftsman and visionary industrialist, established a specialized surgical instrument production unit in 1980 in Sialkot, Pakistan. Having mastered traditional forging and hand-finishing techniques, he expanded the manufacturing facility into an export-oriented enterprise in 1985.
In the early 2000s, Mr. Sheikh Sohail Qamar assumed executive leadership, ushering in a transformative era of modernization, technological investment, and global distribution. By introducing multi-axis CNC machining, vacuum furnace heat treatment, and automated electro-polishing lines, S.S. SURGIMED combined generations of artisan craftsmanship with precision medical device engineering.
Today, under the management of Jahanzeb Shams, S.S. SURGIMED operates as a premier OEM and private-label manufacturer supplying hospital purchasing networks, medical device brands, and healthcare importers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Operating from our integrated production complex in Sialkot, we manage every step of production internally to guarantee absolute lot-to-lot consistency and strict material traceability.
We utilize certified German and Japanese stainless steel alloys (AISI 410, 420, 440, 304, 316, and Titanium). Drop-forged blanks undergo CNC milling to ensure exact jaw alignment, joint box fit, and tip synchronization across every pattern.
Hardening and tempering are conducted inside computer-controlled vacuum furnaces. Hardness levels are verified via Rockwell testing, guaranteeing high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and tip alignment under repeated autoclave cycles.
Automated ultrasonic cleaning and citric/nitric acid passivation build a dense chromium oxide passive layer, ensuring maximum corrosion resistance, anti-glare satin or mirror finishes, and biocompatibility for clinical environments.
